It should be clear to every conservative from coast to coast that most Republicans in both Congress houses do not represent them.
On Friday, Jan 1, the Senate voted 81-13 to override Pres. Trump’s veto of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a massive piece of military defense legislation that Congress has approved for close to sixty years in a row. Seven, only seven Republicans voted against overriding the veto, including Senators Mike Braun (R-IN), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Josh Hawley (R-MO), Mike Lee (R-UT) and Rand Paul (R-KY). The others who voted against overriding the veto were Senators Corey Booker (D-NJ), Edward Markey (D-MA), Jeffrey Merkley (D-OR), Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and Ron Wyden (D-OR).
Senators who voted to sustain Trump’s veto of defense bill:

Let me get this straight, first Trump vetoes NDAA because it did not include Section 230 repeal. The Senate votes to override the veto leaving Section 230 in place. Now McConnell and the Senate are holding up the $2000 stimulus payment if we don’t attach repealing Section 230 to it even though they just overrode Trump’s veto of NDAA, leaving Section 230 intact. Why doesn’t McConnell and other Senators just come straight with us and say they do not want to give the $2000 stimulus check instead of playing these games? It is time for each state to review how their Senator voted and start a recall on this person if they find a warranted solution.
The corruption on both sides is staggering. Between lobbyists, the media, and foreign influence, I can no longer see a clear difference between this government and the ones we (the public) see as enemies.
The media will claim that it was a bipartisan effort because most of the Republicans, including Sen. Mitch McConnell, supported shutting down Trump’s veto and getting foreign nations paid as if something would have happened to them if they would have decided to side with Pres. Trump’s wishes.
Pres. Trump told Republicans back in 2017 when they gave him two Omnibus bills that rang the bells to the tune of nearly $3 trillion that he was not going to do that again. Since then, Congress has sent Pres. Trump bills that were close to a trillion but never going over that threshold. This bill has a price tag of more than $730 billion, according to Roll Call.
When I saw Booker, Sanders, and Warren vote in line with Cruz, Lee, and Hawley, I sort of shook my head in amazement as if something else was at play for them politically. We probably won’t find that out until another election campaign.
The career politicians are smoke. The career bureaucrats are the fire. And it’s a fire that needs to be extinguished. Most of them are in it for the money. Oh, not their salary but selling access and influence. I bet if you did a thorough investigation of Congress, you could charge about 90 percent of them with crimes. McConnell emailed me again for a donation today. I keep unsubscribing from that crap, but it keeps coming back!
That pathetic $600 payment is an insult, and nobody with any self-respect should accept it. These swamp creatures just put over half of all US small businesses permanently out of business while putting tens of millions of poor and middle-class Americans out of work.
These measly little payments are designed to treat us like beggars to the “generosity.” And all under the pretext of a virus with a 99.5% survival rate that is so severe that you have to get tested to know if you have it. We are all getting played like absolute fools by the billionaire oligarchs who control McConnell, Pelosi, etc., like their personal ventriloquist dolls.
Unfortunately, “The Swamp” never got completely drained in the last 4 years. It would take a lifetime for that to happen until we get term limits. Both parties love their “do nothing” jobs with great perks and benefits. They all spend the first half of their terms arguing with each other than the second half running for re-election. The system has failed.
McConnell and the rest of the RINO’s don’t think this election was “the hill to die on.” They have effectively killed their own party. I will never accept Biden as president, but I will never again accept the GOP as my party either. There are a LOT of us!
