AOC Making Her Move? “We Need New Leadership In The Democratic Party”

Before I start, I want to say that during my podcast, I have told many that “The Squad” will be cozying up the Kamala Harris shortly, and the reason is so blinding. If the political climate stays as it is, Biden will take the Oval on January 20th, but at his age, he won’t be there for a long period of time as he’s already shown himself to be sickly.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and representatives Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan are positioning themselves for a power move that neither Pelosi nor Sen. Chuck Schumer can stop. Being friends with Biden’s potential successor will increase their socialist agenda as Harris sides with them, including the Green New Deal.

In the past, Pelosi had said that she misses the old Republican Party attempting to push the narrative that things were better back in the old days when Democrats ran roughshod over their counterparts without questions but mounds of malice.

According to Fox News, “Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believes the Democratic Party needs new leaders. The progressive firebrand said it’s time for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to go — but warned of a power vacuum that could be filled by “nefarious forces” who are “even more conservative” than the caucuses’ current leaders during a podcast interview on “The Intercept” that aired Thursday.”

“I do think we need new leadership in the Democratic Party,” AOC said. “I think one of the things that I have struggled with, I think that a lot of people struggle with, is the internal dynamics of the House has made it such that there [are] minimal options for succession.”

First off, and I hate to say this, AOC is exactly correct. However, she is far short of fixing the problem; there are far more that need to go. Yes, the Democratic party needs new leadership, but the leadership needs to move back toward the center and NOT farther left. Also, AOC is part of the problem, and SHE needs to go as well! I am sure Puerto Rico could use some leadership…

The only thing that AOC has done of any note is to fight against a major corporation that wanted to set up a shop in her district. All they were asking was for a little tax break. Somehow, even with her supposed degree in economics, she couldn’t see that the massive influx of revenue would far outweigh the tax break into the area.

Thousands upon thousands of well-paying jobs would have been created, meaning that the whole area would have benefitted. Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees.

The same could be said of the Republicans, but worse. The Republicans have fractured into four distinct groups if not five. There are the moderates, the far-right nutbags, the more traditional Republicans, and the Libertarian wing. The fifth group is the populist Trumpists, who are not ideologically Republican at all. Both parties’ fringe elements have their messages amplified by the media because of their provocative statements and crazy ideas. They are fodder for clickbait. There was a time that both parties embraced big tent politics. The younger generation does not see its value, and both parties have stopped all cooperation; they now prefer gridlock over negotiated consensus. Some think we are rapidly moving to a more parliamentary system. As for Pelosi? She’s in trouble right now.

Everyone take a step back and look at what’s going on here from a distance. I don’t support Democrats, but I recognize many of them are very, very intelligent people. I’m afraid I have to disagree with them and don’t make them incompetent, even though I fall into the trap of saying otherwise for fun. Now, by consensus on both sides of the aisle, AOC is recognized as being profoundly dumb. How has she risen to the point where people actually listen to what she is suggesting?

Actually, to think about it a lot more, the entire Washington establishment needs to go, and that includes the career politicians and the so-called squad of socialists and communists. We need to cut government in half and return more freedoms to the people, and put the nation’s wealth into the people’s hands.

We’ve all heard about the child who wants attention so bad they don’t care if they do right or wrong, so long as it gets them attention. This fits AOC perfectly. She loves being one of the nation’s top troublemakers, which gets her mug in the news. Perhaps if we all quit milking her quest for attention, the media will go elsewhere for ratings.

I agree that Pelosi and Schumer should go; however, replacing them with progressives is not the answer. To unify the country, as the Dems say they want to do, they need to place smart people in these positions who can come to the table and know-how and are willing to negotiate with the other side. The progressive has a history of demanding their solutions as the only solution.
