While many hoped that leftist agitators would stop burning down cities and smashing property once Trump was out of office, the opposite happened. Radical leftist protest under what is known as Antifa in full swing in Portland Oregon, now directed against ICE. Meanwhile, Joe Biden is preparing to release thousands of illegal immigrants from ICE custody, judging from the recently leaked internal ICE memo.
The riots first started at inauguration day, when Biden took office. Protests presumably started because the radical leftists of Antifa see Biden as a centrist, a moderate. Some protesters held signs saying “we don’t want Biden, we want revenge” and “we hate Trump and Biden too”.
Rioters clashed with police while chanting slogans in favor of open borders and unrestricted immigration to the US. “No borders. No nations. Abolish deportation”, chanted the crowd outside ICE offices in Portland, while some of the slogans painted by rioters wrote “abolish ICE”.
Federal agents responded to the riots and looting with tear gas, crowd-control munitions and other tools.

One Portland business owner described the ongoing protests as “devastating” for businesses and residents.
“They come out here and they just literally destroy whatever they can, throwing things around,” Stacey Gibson said. “They’re just going to pick it up and throw it wherever they can. The damage that happens to the businesses down there is just devastating.”
On Sunday, 10 PM local time, Federal Protective Service law enforcement finally declared the protest an “unlawful assembly”, ordering the crowd to leave the area.
With such intense protests against immigration, one would think that Trump is still the president, or that Biden is continuing Trump’s policies. But nothing could be further from the truth.
As stated in an internal ICE memo, first released by Tucker Carlson, agents were ordered to “stop all removals” of illegal immigrants detained by the immigration control officers. In. The memo also reclassified all cases of detainees in ICE custody as of “no significant likelihood of removal in foreseeable future”, making it likely they will be released. “Release them all, immediately,” an ICE official wrote to staff in the memo.
ICE has halted all deportations, regardless of the criminal convictions of an illegal alien, as a result of one of Biden’s day-one executive orders. The order stopped removals of illegals for at least 100 days.
The deportation halt was a result of lobbying by open borders groups in late 2019 and early 2020. The push came from almost 200 mayors and county executives under the advocacy group “Cities for Action”, which includes mayors of New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago.
However, some leftist groups are obviously not satisfied with lobbying, and decided that violent protests are the best way to put further pressure on Joe Biden to carry through with his open-borders agenda.
